    The fee covers workshop attendance, workshop materials, coffee breaks, lunches on all days and dinner on the first evening. They do not include tax and accomodations. For hotels & hostels in walking distance have a look at the pdf-file provided above. CANCELLATION  If you cancel by April 1, 2010 we can refund 80% of your fee. If you cancel by May 1, 2010 we can refund 50% of your fee. If you cancel after that there will be no refund. Of course, you can offer someone else your place.

    OPEN SPACE TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOP

    Many of us experience our work, the organisations we are part of, our communities, even our countries and in fact the whole world around us as transforming at ever increasing speed. To deal with the resulting challenges we need an approach that involves all affected and interested parties with their experiences, insights, questions, visions and wisdom.

    Open Space Technology is such an approach. It supports groups, organisations and systems of all kinds and sizes to utilize their inherent potential for self-organisation leading to high performance characterized by collaboration, cooperation, participation and broad leadership exercised by many. It provides a framework of time and space in which everyone works on those issues they feel passionate about and for which they are prepared to take responsibility. Leaders, managers, consultants, students, group workers, community organisers, planners and everyone interested in the future of their organisations and communities will benefit from this workshop.

    Our training design uses Open Space throughout the entire training process. It was designed on the background of our experience with several hundred Open Space events with groups ranging from 5-2108 participants in 30 countries on four continents.

    Participants thoroughly acquaint themselves with Open Space Technology (OST) in the workshop by:

    • learning about the prerequisits for Open Space meetings;

    • experiencing an Open Space planning session;

    • experiencing an Open Space meeting under the title found in the planning session;

    • reflecting on the recent experience as a participant in a second Open Space with the title “Open Space on Open Space”;

    • participating in an action planning process to develop first steps for the application of Open Space in their own field of work.

    • collecting and reflecting questions and answers on their current experience (using a questions and answers wall)

    • meeting in small groups to reflect on their experience (Reflection Groups)

    • utilizing “learning spaces” for self-organised learning with books and articles as well as audio and visual resources on Open Space, and a “question & answer wall” to reflect on the current experience.
